  "A great place to have a picnic" my ass! We went with two small children ,before we even got out of the car we saw the place is full of wasps!!!! They are everywhere!

  Went half way and turned around, if we would have taken out our food they all would come for it! Saw a wild rabbit and a snake on the way... luckily we managed not to get stung or bitten. A whole day went to waste!

  We’ve been here a few times now, always enjoying the walk and taking the dogs, on leads of course as indicated by the signs! Took my drone the last time to get some great aerial video and photos of the lake and got chased off by the jobsworth ranger with a Spanish shaking finger! No signs there to tell me drones were not allowed.

  The tranquility isolation and peace. Being at one with nature. The hostility of the beating sun in summer contrasting the filtering winter sun. The scent of the pines when I awake. The ethereal effect of the morning light. infiltrating the pinada. Vistas of distant horizons and total freedom. Simply, it's just special.
